1.Opening remarks
Nowadays, the world is vigorously developing renewable energy, and the power grid is becoming increasingly intelligent, which puts higher demands on current measurement technology. Our MSQ series current transformers from Heyi Electric, with mature technology and strong adaptability, keep up with industry development trends and provide critical and reliable measurement guarantees for new energy grid connection, energy storage system management, and smart grid construction.
2.A good helper for photovoltaic power plants
In the field of new energy such as photovoltaics, the accuracy of current measurement directly affects the efficiency and stability of the entire system.
2.1.Real time monitoring of grid connection
The MSQ series is commonly used at the output end of inverters, especially in large ground-based photovoltaic power plants. Models like MSQ-100 (1000/5A) and MSQ-120 (1500/5A) are often used to monitor the current, power, and power factor at the grid connection point.
These current transformers have a load capacity of 10-20VA and can simultaneously drive multiple measuring and protection devices, achieving uninterrupted monitoring of power quality.
For example, in a 200MW photovoltaic power plant project, the use of MSQ-120 enabled accurate measurement of the collection lines, providing reliable data support for electricity bill settlement and grid assessment.
2.2.System efficiency optimization
By using models such as MSQ-40 (300/5A) and MSQ-50 (500/5A) to monitor the string inverter branch in real-time, operation and maintenance personnel can detect system abnormalities in a timely manner.
A distributed photovoltaic project used MSQ-40 to monitor the current of each branch, and timely discovered the problem of decreased power generation efficiency caused by shadow obstruction. By cleaning the components and adjusting the array, the power generation of the power station was ultimately increased by 5.2%.
3.Energy storage system: worry free and cost-effective
The energy storage system is now an important component of the power system, and the requirements for measurement technology are also increasing.
3.1.Charge and discharge management
On the AC side of energy storage inverters, commonly used current transformers such as MSQ-60 (800/5A) and MSQ-80 (1000/5A) are used to accurately measure the charging and discharging power.
Their load capacity reaches 7.5-10VA, fully meeting the data accuracy requirements of the energy management system.
A large energy storage power station using MSQ-80s has achieved real-time monitoring of charging and discharging currents, combined with optimized operation strategies based on electricity price signals, resulting in an increase of approximately 1.2 million yuan in annual revenue.
3.2.safety protection
Real time monitoring of battery clusters through transformers such as MSQ-30I (200/5A) can detect system anomalies in a timely manner.
After installing MSQ-30I in a user side energy storage project, multiple battery overcurrent events were successfully alerted, effectively preventing overcharging and overdischarging, and increasing the system availability to 99.5%, significantly extending the equipment's service life.
4. Intelligent distribution network: making electricity more intelligent
To achieve intelligent distribution network, the first step is to ensure accurate data collection and proper processing.
4.1.data collection
The MSQ series, as a front-end sensor, plays a key role in intelligent distribution networks. For example, MSQ-30B (100/5A) is commonly used for measuring the outlet of distribution transformers. Although it is compact in size, its 5VA load capacity is sufficient to connect both the meter and the acquisition terminal simultaneously.
A certain power supply company has adopted MSQ-30B for intelligent transformation of substation areas, achieving real-time monitoring of 500 distribution substations and reducing line loss rate by 2.3 percentage points.
4.2.System intelligence
The MSQ series provides a full process measurement solution from the 10kV outgoing line of the substation to the user end. MSQ-125 (2000/5A) is used for substation outgoing line monitoring, MSQ-50 (400/5A) is responsible for segmented measurement of distribution lines, and MSQ-30B (50/5A) is used for user access point monitoring. This hierarchical measurement system provides complete data support for the distribution automation system, transforming the operation of the distribution network from "experience based" to "data-driven" intelligent management.
5.Conclusion
From traditional factory power distribution to emerging new energy power stations, the application scenarios of Heyi Electric's MSQ series are constantly expanding. With the deep integration of the Internet of Things, big data technology, and power systems, the importance of current transformers as key devices for data collection is becoming increasingly prominent. Heyi Electric will continue to deepen its cultivation in this field, using higher quality products and technologies to help build a cleaner, more efficient, and smarter future energy system.
